Reconnu comme norme de performance du surveillant-sauveteur au Canada, le certificat Sauveteur national est conçu de façon à développer une compréhension approfondie des principes de surveillance, un bon jugement et une attitude responsable quant au rôle qu’assume le surveillant-sauveteur dans une installation aquatique. Le certificat vise à inculquer les principes et les processus décisionnels de sauvetage qui aideront les candidats à évaluer et à s’adapter aux diverses situations. Il est composé d’éléments spécifiques reliés à l’environnement qui permettent aux candidats de se spécialiser dans l’une des quatre options que comporte ce certifica: piscine, plage continentale, plage océanique et parc aquatique. Ce sont les principes et les techniques de surveillance de base qui forment le tronc commun de ces spécialisations.

Recognized as the standard measurement of lifeguard performance in Canada, the National Lifeguard program is designed to develop a sound understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgement and a responsable attitude toward the lifeguard's role in an aquatic facility. This award aims to develop basic lifeguarding principles and decision-making processes that will help the lifeguard evaluating and adapting to different situations, The course consists of a common core dealing with lifeguarding principles and techniques, together with environment-specific items leading to certification in one of the four options: Pool, Waterfront, Surf or Waterpark.
Schedule description Pre-requisite for this course: Standard First Aid, 15 years old and older and Bronze Cross.
After this class you will be able to start working in an exterior or interior pool. While putting in practice all the saving techniques you have learned throughout the Life Saving Society training program.
