Prérequis: Détenir la Médaille de Bronze.
Le certificat Croix de bronze s’adresse aux candidats recherchant une formation plus poussée et désirant acquérir des notions de base en surveillance d’installations aquatiques. Ils y découvriront la différence entre le sauvetage et la surveillance, les principes à la base des procédures d’urgence et le travail d’équipe. Les candidats apprendront à porter secours à une victime blessée à la colonne vertébrale et à une victime en arrêt cardiorespiratoire. La Croix de bronze est un préalable pour tous les autres programmes de formation avancés incluant les certificats Sauveteur national et Moniteur en sauvetage.

Prerequisite: Bronze Medallion completed.
the Bronze Cross award is designed for candidates who seek more advanced training and who wish to acquire basic notions of aquatic facility supervision. They will discover the differences between lifesaving and lifeguarding, the basic principles of emergency procedures and teamwork. The candidates will also learn how to respond to a spinal-injured victim and a victim in cardiopulmonary arrest. The Bronze Cross is the prerequisite award for all other advanced training programs, including National Lifeguard and Lifesaving Instructor.
Schedule description Prerequisite: Bronze Medallion and Lifesaving Society Emergency or Standard First Aid certifications (need not be current) or EFA or SFA from one of these approved agencies.
Need to have whistle & pocket mask.
